How to keep your LYVÉ pieces glowing.

At LYVÉ Jewelry, we use 18k Gold Vermeil—a thick layer of solid 18k gold over 925 sterling silver. While our jewelry is designed for daily wear and durability, all precious metals need a little love to maintain their original brilliance over the years.

Follow these simple steps to ensure your pieces last a lifetime:

1. The "Last On, First Off" Rule

To protect your jewelry from chemicals, it should be the last thing you put on in the morning and the first thing you take off at night.

  • Avoid contact with: Perfumes, hairsprays, lotions, and makeup. These can dull the gold and cause it to fade over time.

2. Keep it Dry

Water, salt, and chlorine can be harsh on precious metals.

  • Take it off before: Showering, swimming in the pool or ocean, and intense workouts.

  • If your jewelry does get wet, gently pat it dry with a soft cloth immediately.

3. Proper Storage

When you’re not wearing your LYVÉ pieces, store them in a cool, dry place.

  • The LYVÉ Pouch: Our original packaging is designed to protect your jewelry from scratches and oxidation. Store each piece individually to avoid tangling or rubbing against other metals.

4. Gentle Cleaning

To restore the shine, all you need is a soft, lint-free cloth (like a microfiber or jewelry polishing cloth).

  • Do not use: Chemical cleaners, silver polishes, or abrasive materials. A gentle buffing is enough to remove oils and dust.
